Avoid Wasting Your SEARCH Budget on the DISPLAY Network

Welcome to Google Ads Quick Hits. I am Todd Nevins and I’m the founder of CLICKPlacement. We are a Google Ads partner.

Today I’m going to help you avoid serving your search ads to the Display Network. The Display Network is a network of millions of other websites, news sites and blogs and Google…

When you are opted into the Display Network, Google serves your ads to those poorer quality websites not on Google Search.

So I’m going to help you get out of the Display Network right now. Here’s the reason.

This particular Advertiser spent $5,000 in Google Ads and $800 of that was spent on the Display Network. So about 14% and zero conversions.

How do you opt out of the Google Display Network? You go to your settings, then go to networks at the campaign level.

You go to your settings and the networks and then you make sure that this box is unchecked click save and that’s it.

You can create a second separate display campaign, which is what I recommend.

That way your data is completely separate. You’ve got your search data and you’ve got your display data and that’s the way you do it.

Thank you for watching Google Ads Quick Hits.
Leave me a comment below if this helped or if you have any other questions or you want a future episode to be around something that you’re unfamiliar with within Google Ads.

Thanks.
