I’m Todd Nevins and I founded CLICKPlacement, a Google Ads Partner and in the top 3% of agencies in the US. 

In 2010, I had 7 years of experience running Google Ads for a small business I had started. I knew the platform inside and out. I had studied it, worked with it, and believed in it.

I desperately wanted to start an Ads agency but I didn’t know how.

I doubted myself: Why would a company trust me to manage their ad spend? What if I messed up? 

To make things harder, the economy was still reeling from the subprime mortgage crisis. Businesses were cautious. Budgets were tight. 

Then one afternoon, something shifted.

I picked up a copy of the Dallas Business Journal and saw a list: “Top 25 Ad Agencies in Dallas-Fort Worth” with the names of each agency’s owner.

At the same time, I had just started home-brewing. I named my beer “Toddweiser.” It was a small thing, but it gave me an edge.

I had a hunch that these agencies were getting client questions about Google Ads but it wasn’t yet a big enough service to justify hiring someone in-house.

That’s where I could fit in. As their behind-the-scenes Google Ads expert.

I walked into all 25 agencies, unannounced, and said, “I don’t have an appointment, but I have beer. Is [Owner’s Name] available?”

It worked.

One of those cold calls led me to Defakto, a growing agency run by Gilbert Salazar and Ken Vernon.

They were moving fast, and they needed someone who could own Google Ads. They gave me a shot.

Our first client together was a chain of Cadillac dealerships.

That project got me in the game. But it was the next client that changed everything.

Defakto introduced me to Fresh Image Center, a cosmetic surgery clinic in North Dallas.

It was my entry into the world of cosmetic surgery marketing.

That single introduction launched a path I’m still on today: helping cosmetic surgeons, MedSpas, and speciality doctors grow their practices by turning online clicks into real, meaningful consultations and profit for their clinics.

Over the years, we have diversified into senior living communities, ecommerce, home improvement, B2B software, lead-generation aggregators and other high-impact industries.
